Keep the Memories, Lose the Stuff
Matt Paxton, host of the Emmy-nominated Legacy List with Matt Paxton and HOARDERS, will discuss the importance of a family legacy and how telling the stories behind the items can help people let go of their stuff. Matt will highlight insights and stories from his 20-year career helping families downsize and declutter their homes. He'll share his tools and techniques to empower clients to tell and document their stories while letting go of the items that no longer serve them.
Matt Paxton, host of the Emmy-nominated series Legacy List with Matt Paxton (on PBS stations nationwide) is a leading downsizing and decluttering expert. He started cleaning houses after his father, stepfather, and both grandfathers died in the same year, leaving him with several estates to settle at once. Ever since, Matt and his network of experts have been working with families struggling with settling estates and cleanouts for almost 20 years. He has been an expert featured during 12+ seasons of A&E TV show Hoarders. Matt is the author of Keep the Memories, Lose the Stuff, created in collaboration with AARP and featuring his signature steps to downsizing and decluttering your home. He appears regularly as a public speaker and guest on television and radio shows helping families find the upside of downsizing. He lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife and seven kids.
Note: Registrants will receive Zoom registration link and meeting info in their confirmation and reminder emails.
Zoom will allow participants to interact with each other via audio and video on their computer, tablet, or smartphone app in a real virtual meeting (optional alternative audio available by telephone) where we will be able to see and listen to each other in real dialog.
In the event of bad weather, we will only cancel if power is out for necessary meeting managers, in which case, meeting registrants will be emailed.
