Monthly meetings of the Washington, DC Metro Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers are designed to share organizing knowledge and resources among members, as well as offer an opportunity to network. Programs are varied to appeal to both seasoned and novice organizers.
Chapter meetings are usually held the first Monday night of the month, unless that date is a secular or religious holiday. The meetings may be rescheduled if national or local chapter events conflict with our regular schedule. In the event of inclement weather, we follow Montgomery or Arlington County snow policy, according to where the meeting is scheduled to be held.
Meetings begin at 6:30 pm with registration, networking and an “Ask the Expert” session. “Ask the Expert” is an informal gathering of new organizers who receive free advice on owning an organizing business from members of the Golden Circle, a prestigious designation within NAPO for experienced organizers. The formal portion of the evening begins with a chapter business meeting at 7:00 p.m. An educational program begins at 7:30 p.m. and focuses on organizing practices and/or business topics, and there is time for networking from 8:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The NAPO-WDC Chapter does not meet in July or August.

Inclement Weather Policy
In the event that bad weather is predicted on the day of a chapter meeting, NAPO-WDC will not cancel the chapter meeting, but will instead switch to a virtual meeting. A virtual meeting conversion will be determined by the cancellation protocols for that meeting's location set by Montgomery County Public Schools or Arlington County Public Schools. If a switch takes place, meeting registrants will receive login instructions for the virtual meeting.
